Welcome

Every since I was a young girls I have been interested and curious about money. I have always flirted with money management. I had a general ledger (nerd alert!) to track my allowance for every penny coming in and going out, I prioritized my student debt over all else once in university and forewent a lot of luxuries and freedom as a young adult to establish a good financial foundation for my future. Now as I am reaching the milestone age of 30 I have achieved some major goals but all I can think off when I see the big 3-0 approaching is Jenna Rink (played by the fabulous Jennifer Garner) in the fantasy Rom-Com “13 Going on Thirty” a 13 year old that wants nothing more to be “Thirty, Flirty and Thriving”. Now full disclosure… I am married so flirting in the traditional sense is over but if flirting with finance can lead to thriving in my 30’s I don’t think my husband would mind too much 😉

Everyone’s personal finance journey and relationship to money can be very different. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to how to become financially secure and independent but there are certain basic principals that regardless of who you are or what your situation is that you can be better off tomorrow than you are today. This blog is not for a specific “percenters” with respect to your net worth or to your income but rather a framework to help educate and excel in your personal finance journey. I will share my net worth goals and the plans and tools that I have used in the past to get where I am today and that will help me get to where I am going tomorrow and beyond.

Happy flirting with finance and thriving y’all!
